Stephen Drew is a highly-experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery and hand and wrist surgery. He is a member of BESS (British Elbow and Shoulder Society) council and is currently secretary. Previously, he served as a member of the BESS research committee, giving him a very good insight into the evidence base for shoulder and elbow surgery, as well as an early awareness of new and developing treatments. He is the Lead Clinician for shoulder and elbow research at Warwick University, and is the Principle Investigator for a £1 million grant from NIHR into using the InSpace Balloon for massive rotator cuff tears. He regularly teaches national and international courses and especially enjoys teaching practical arthroscopic skills. Patients describe him as pleasant, comforting and professional.
