Mr Tim Crook is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Upper Limb Surgery. With over a decade of expertise, he obtained his Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2009 following Higher Surgical Training in the Wessex region. Mr Crook has gained international exposure, including a Hand and Wrist Fellowship in Sydney in 2010, supported by a Travelling Bursary from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. His practice at Dorset County Hospital and The BMI Winterbourne Hospital encompasses a wide array of conditions such as arthritis, nerve compression syndromes, Dupuytren�s Disease, and sports injuries. Specialising in arthroscopic treatment for wrist issues and open shoulder procedures, he also focuses on knee injuries and replacement surgeries for arthritis. Known for his contributions to the field, Mr Tim Crook has undertaken significant research and published various studies in prestigious journals. He has led groundbreaking research in tendon transfer surgery and innovative techniques for wrist surgery, notably contributing to the field of Hand Surgery. Specialising in Hand & Wrist, Shoulder & Elbow surgeries, and Home chemotherapy, he is actively involved in an International research study exploring new joint replacement options for thumb arthritis. Mr Crook's commitment to research is evident in his extensive publications and international presentations on topics such as Tennis elbow, Wrist Arthritis, and Tendon Surgery, showcasing his dedication to advancing Orthopaedic practices. Outside of his medical commitments, Mr Tim Crook has pursued further education, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. As a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons� Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, he has contributed to the medical team during Portsmouth Football Club's 2008 FA Cup triumph.
