Tarun Taneja

Mr Tarun Taneja is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Knee surgery, including ACL reconstruction, meniscus injuries, sports ligament injuries, and Knee replacement. With years of expertise, he trained at the prestigious Percival Potts Orthopaedic programme in the UK and has undertaken multiple fellowships in Knee surgery, including a British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma & Arthroscopy Association (BOSTAA) fellowship. He is involved in teaching and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University London, offering his patients the latest evidence-based care. Having received numerous accolades, Mr Taneja was awarded the Sports Medicine Diploma by the International Olympic Committee and elected as an International member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His special interest lies in all sports-related Knee injuries, where he utilises the latest surgical techniques and works closely with Sports Medicine physicians and physiotherapists. With a focus on personalised patient care, he emphasises good communication, compassion, and empathy to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. Beyond his medical practice, Mr Taneja is passionate about sports and music. He operates as a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at Homerton University Hospitals NHS Trust and serves as the Trauma Director for the North East London & Essex Trauma Network. With specialisations in Knee and Trauma, his areas of interest include ACL reconstruction, Meniscus tears repair, Total Knee replacement surgery, and research into knee sports and ligament injuries, showcasing his dedication to advancing orthopaedic care.
