Mr Tahir Mahmud is an experienced Lower Limb Reconstruction Surgeon with specialized expertise in knee and hip surgery, sports injuries, and arthritis. He underwent rigorous training at prestigious institutions such as St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, and the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Mr Mahmud is a super specialised Consultant knee surgeon, known for introducing Robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery in the North West of England. His areas of specialisation include knee ligament surgery, meniscal repair, cartilage regeneration, and knee replacement surgery, with a focus on knee preservation techniques before resorting to joint replacement surgery.
