Mr Stephen Jones is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in adult hip surgery. With over 15 years of expertise, he has a high volume practice in primary and revision hip replacement. Graduating from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1995, he furthered his training through fellowships in the UK and clinical visits worldwide. Besides his clinical work, Mr Jones holds leadership roles, such as Vice-President of the British Hip Society and National Musculo-skeletal Research Lead for Wales. He is also actively involved in research, securing substantial funding for studies aimed at improving treatment for patients with hip and knee pain. Having qualified with various degrees and affiliations, including an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering, Mr Jones is dedicated to advancing hip surgery through education and research. As a Consultant Surgeon in Cardiff since 2005, he has built a reputation for excellence in hip disorders, hip replacement surgery, and revision hip replacement. In addition, he is an Assessor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and plays a pivotal role in the Arthritis Research UK Biomechanics & Bioengineering Centre at Cardiff University. In addition to his medical responsibilities, Mr Stephen Jones is actively involved in international presentations, surgical demonstrations, and educational commitments. He has presented at prestigious conferences such as the British Hip Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. With his dedication to research and leadership in the field of hip surgery, Mr Jones continues to make significant contributions to orthopaedics on a national and international level.
