Mr Simon Palmer is an experienced Orthopaedic consultant with expertise in surgery of the lower limb, particularly focusing on foot and ankle surgery and knee surgery. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Palmer received his medical degree from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London. He has trained at prestigious institutions like St Mary�s Hospital and The Hammersmith Hospital, becoming a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1994. Mr. Palmer has a special interest in trauma and sports injuries and has completed advanced training in orthopaedics and trauma, including attaining an MSc in Sports Injuries from Bath University. In addition to his roles as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and Research Lead for Orthopaedics, Mr. Palmer is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sussex Medical School. He is actively involved in teaching and training junior surgeons, as well as teaching surgical podiatrists techniques in foot surgery and bunion correction. A member of various specialist societies, including The Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Mr. Palmer's research interests lie in clinical outcomes in knee and foot and ankle surgery. He has received awards for his work in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery and sports problems with the knee. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Palmer enjoys cycling, snowboarding, kite surfing, and windsurfing. His passion for philosophy complements his dedication to enhancing patient care and advancing orthopaedic research.
