Mr Simon Bick is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip, knee, and trauma surgery. He gained his qualifications from the University of Cape Town in 2001 and completed his fellowship training at Southmead Hospital, where he acquired expertise in knee surgery, hip surgery, and trauma surgery. Mr Bick received his FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedic specialist examinations in 2015 and has been on the GMC specialist register since then. He currently holds the position of a consultant surgeon at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust. With over 100 joint replacements performed annually, Mr Bick is highly skilled in hip and knee surgeries. He specialises in hip arthritis, knee arthritis, meniscal injuries, and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Mr Bick is involved in educational courses for General Practitioners at Spire Bristol Hospital and has received awards for his contributions. He is dedicated to providing patient-centred care and is known for his meticulous attention to detail in his professional and surgical practice. Outside of his medical career, Mr Simon Bick enjoys sports, barbeques, walks, and spending quality time with his family. He is actively engaged in training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons in the region and holds leadership roles in Clinical Governance and Audit at the department of Trauma & Orthopaedics at Southmead Hospital.
