Mr Sim Johal is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery, arthroscopy, and young adult hip problems. With a background in complex hip revision fellowships and a prestigious Charnley fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, he brings over a decade of expertise to his NHS practice at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Additionally, Mr Johal serves as the lead surgeon for the National Joint Registry and the fracture neck of femur service, showcasing his leadership in the field. Having graduated from the University of Southampton with honours in Medicine, Mr Johal completed his higher surgical training at esteemed institutions such as Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. His fellowship training encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of young adult hip problems, including femoro-acetabular impingement and labral tears. With experience in various surgical approaches to the hip, custom implants, and robotic surgery, Mr Johal is at the forefront of innovative orthopaedic techniques, ensuring optimal patient care.
