Mr Shawn Tavares is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hips and knees, with over 20 years of expertise. He has performed over 1400 Hip replacements and has extensive experience in Birmingham Hip resurfacing, Total knee replacements, and various knee surgeries like Cruciate ligament and meniscal repair. Mr Tavares completed his post-graduate training at prestigious hospitals in the UK, including a fellowship in knee surgery at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Imperial College London. He has held significant positions at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, such as Clinical Director and Clinical Governance lead. Mr Tavares's special interests lie in ACL reconstruction surgery, Hip and Knee replacements, and arthroscopic knee surgery.
