Mr Shaishav Bhagat is an experienced Consultant Spinal Surgeon with expertise in a wide range of spinal conditions. He obtained his FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010 and was awarded a Euro-spine diploma in 2012. With over 8 years of expertise, he specialises in minimally invasive keyhole Spine surgery and degenerative deformity, providing care for conditions such as degenerative disorders, trauma, tumours, infections, deformities, and sports-related injuries. Mr Bhagat is actively involved in teaching and research, conducting various Spine surgery and FRCS Orthopaedic teaching courses. Having served as a Consultant Spinal surgeon since 2013 at the Ipswich Spinal Unit, Ipswich Hospital NHS trust, and Colchester Hospital, Mr Shaishav Bhagat has undergone extensive training in Spinal surgery at renowned centres, including Norwich, Cardiff, and Cambridge. Along with his special interest in minimally invasive Spine surgery, he has set up a specialist paediatric Spinal clinic at Ipswich Hospital. His qualifications include a Diploma of Eurospine and a Masters of Surgery in Orthopaedics, showcasing his dedication to continuous learning and development in the field. Mr Bhagat's areas of interest cover a broad spectrum of spine conditions, from back pain and neck pain to complex spine pain, deformities, and various surgical interventions. Apart from his medical practice, Mr Shaishav Bhagat enjoys playing tennis and swimming in his personal time. With an ongoing research focus on minimally invasive spine surgery and specific interests in the "Reactivate" back pain implant, degenerative scoliosis, and other spinal conditions, he remains dedicated to advancing treatment options and enhancing patient care in the field of spinal surgery.
