Sathya Murthy

Mr Sathya Murthy is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 30 years of expertise. After completing his Diploma in Orthopaedics in 1985 in Madras, he pursued further speciality training in General Orthopaedics across leading hospitals in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Mr Murthy holds various prestigious qualifications, including a Fellowship in Surgery in 1989 and a Masters degree in Orthopaedics from Liverpool University in 1999. He has a particular interest and extensive training in Shoulder, Knee, and Elbow surgeries, with advanced training in shoulder surgery and knee reconstructions. With a strong NHS presence, Mr Sathya Murthy currently serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the East Kent Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust, specifically at the QEQM Hospital in Kent & Canterbury Hospital. He is a member of prominent medical associations such as BMA, BASK, BESS, and IOA. Specialising in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery, Mr Murthy's sub-specialties include Knee, Shoulder, and Elbow surgeries. His research interests focus on areas like Reverse Geometry Shoulder replacement, Rotator cuff pathology, and Cartilage regeneration. Beyond his medical expertise, Mr Sathya Murthy enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in sports activities like table tennis, tennis, badminton, and chess.
