Saqif Hossain

Mr Saqif Hossain is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 15 years of expertise in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his Higher Surgical Training in North West England and further pursued a fellowship in Knee surgery at Nottingham and Derby. Mr Hossain was appointed as a consultant at Pennine Acute NHS Trust in 2006, where he currently holds various positions including Director of Medical Education for Oldham. He is also a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary, and Fairfield General Hospital, Bury. With a focus on Knee and Hip surgeries, Mr Saqif Hossain is a specialist in Knee Ligament reconstruction, Knee arthroscopic surgery, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and more. He is a member of prominent organisations such as BASK, BOA, and NWOA. Additionally, he holds multiple qualifications including FRCS, FRCS(Tr&Orth), and FRCS(Tr & Orth). Mr Hossain's research interests have led to over 30 peer-reviewed publications and numerous lectures on hip and knee surgery, both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, he is actively involved in medical education as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons. Apart from his medical profession, Mr Saqif Hossain is deeply engaged in medical education as a College Surgical Tutor, senior lecturer at Edge Hill University, and the Director of Medical Education at Oldham Care Organisation. His dedication to enhancing the knowledge and skills of future medical professionals is evident through his various roles in education and examination within the field of Orthopaedic Surgery.
