Mr Samantha Hook is a highly experienced lower limb primary and revision arthroplasty Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise. Graduating from Bristol University Medical School in 1999, Mr Hook also holds a BSc in Anatomical Science. Specialising in Hip Surgery, he completed his FRCS (Tr&Orth) training in Wessex in 2008 and underwent further training in the World renowned unit in Exeter. Mr Hook has a particular interest in infected arthroplasty management and has been actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons. With a focus on Hip and Knee surgeries, Mr Hook is a member of prestigious medical societies such as the British Hip Society, British Orthopaedic Society, and the Royal College of Surgeons. He has published numerous research papers on various orthopaedic topics, showcasing his expertise and commitment to the field. Additionally, Mr Hook has been actively involved in educational arthroplasty courses and has received awards for his contributions to the medical community. Apart from his medical career, Mr Hook enjoys running, mountain biking, road cycling, skiing, gardening, and travelling. He is also a chicken keeper. His research interests include infected joint replacements and arthroplasty. Currently working at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, Mr Hook continues to make significant contributions to the field of orthopaedic surgery.
