Mr Ronan Banim is an experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with expertise since 2006. Specialising in hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and ACL reconstruction, he also treats a variety of sports and soft tissue injuries affecting the hip, knee, and leg. Leading the introduction of enhanced recovery for joint replacement patients, Mr Banim is the lead for Orthopaedic Surgery and trauma services at the Countess of Chester. He received his qualifications from London University in 1993, underwent training in London, and pursued specialist training at Oswestry and Stoke, with fellowships in Wrightington and America. A member of various prestigious associations, including the British Orthopaedic Association and British Hip Society, Mr Banim is well-regarded in the field. With a focus on trauma and orthopaedic surgery, Mr Banim is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and a member of several prominent medical associations. He has provided seminars to GPs, physiotherapists, and other medical professionals, showcasing his expertise in areas such as hip and knee replacement, arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and sports injury management.
