Roger Hackney

Mr Roger Hackney is an Upper limb surgeon based in Leeds, with extensive experience and expertise in sports trauma. Trained in the Royal Air Force and esteemed centres in London and Nottingham, he has worked alongside Professor Angus Wallace. Mr Hackney is a recognised expert in shoulder and elbow surgeries, serving as the ex President of the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association. He is also a board member of the European society, specialising in trauma & orthopaedic surgery with a sub-specialty in Video and telephone consultations. With over 25 years of expertise, Mr Roger Hackney has garnered accolades such as being a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He is a member of various prestigious medical societies, including the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the British Medical Association. Notably, Mr Hackney has published extensively, authored chapters, and co-written the Handbook of Sports Medicine.
