Mr. Rob Pollock is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in managing hip and knee conditions, bone and soft tissue tumours. Serving as the Clinical Director of the Joint Reconstruction and Sarcoma Units at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital since 2004, he has expertise in first-time and revision hip and knee replacements, as well as limb salvage surgery for musculo-skeletal tumours. With extensive training both in London and internationally, including fellowships in Sydney and Denver, Mr. Pollock was awarded the prestigious American, British, and Canadian Fellowship in 2008, enhancing his skills in joint reconstruction and limb salvage surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of various renowned orthopaedic associations, having published numerous research papers and receiving 7 clinical excellence awards related to his NHS practices. Having completed his training at University College London in 1993 with first-class honours, Mr. Pollock's accolades include Fellowship in trauma and pelvic reconstruction, Fellowship in bone tumours and complex joint reconstruction. His vast memberships across prestigious surgical societies indicate his commitment to orthopaedic excellence. With over 90 research papers, various presentations, and involvement in teaching and postgraduate courses, he demonstrates a passion for the field. His qualifications include a Specialist Orthopaedic Exit exam in 2002 from the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2004 from the General Medical Council. Apart from his professional achievements, Mr. Pollock enjoys family time in the Chilterns with his wife and daughters, engaging in outdoor activities like cycling, running, and competing in triathlons, including completing a full Ironman in 2016.
