Richard Hartley, with over 20 years of experience, completed his training at Nottingham Medical School and achieved various qualifications, including FRCSEd(Tr&Orth). He specializes in knee surgery, with expertise in primary & revision knee arthroplasty, ligament reconstruction, and hip arthroplasty. Richard's work has been published in prestigious medical journals, and he is an active member of BOA and BASK. His training includes higher surgical training in Orthopaedics and basic surgical training, leading to his specialisation in trauma & orthopaedic surgery. Richard has a keen interest in knee arthroscopy, sports injuries, and patient-specific instrumentation for knee replacements. He has received various awards for his contribution to healthcare and is dedicated to providing informative talks to healthcare professional groups. In addition to knee surgeries, Richard also performs total hip replacements. Outside of his medical work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, cooking, and exploring music and travel. His research interests focus on patient outcomes post knee replacement surgery and biomechanical factors influencing knee surgical approaches.
