Richard Benson is a highly experienced Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years in the field. He graduated from St. George�s Hospital Medical School in 2000, followed by specialized training in shoulder and elbow surgery, leading to a doctorate for his work on rotator cuff tendon failure. Richard has held prestigious positions such as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Hospitals. His specialisations include Hand & Wrist, as well as Shoulder & Elbow surgery. Having been awarded the Didier Patte Prize by the European Society of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery, Richard Benson's expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery is well-recognised. He is a member of the British Shoulder and Elbow Society and the British Orthopaedic Association. Richard has a keen interest in causes and treatments for tendinopathy and has published several research papers in renowned medical journals. Additionally, he regularly provides talks for General Practitioners and has qualifications such as an FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
