Mr Rama Mohan is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over two decades of expertise. He completed his higher surgical training in Orthopaedic Surgery in the UK, including Fellowships in Adult Reconstructive and Pelvic Reconstruction surgeries in Canada and Switzerland. Since 2002, he has been serving as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at North Manchester General Hospital, focusing on hip and knee arthritis treatment, primary and revision arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgery, and joint-preserving procedures. Specialising in a wide range of surgeries, including complex reconstructions and minimally invasive total hip replacements, he is a member of various orthopaedic associations. Having obtained his FRCS qualifications from prestigious institutions in the UK and Canada, Mr Rama Mohan's specialisations lie in hip and knee surgeries. His clinical practice revolves around hip and knee arthritis, soft tissue disorders, and arthroscopic procedures. Apart from his NHS position, he is also affiliated with several orthopaedic associations and has published numerous research articles on various orthopaedic topics. His research interests include clinical outcomes of hip and knee replacements in younger patients, periprosthetic joint infections, non-operative management of knee arthritis, and the use of robotic technology in hip and knee replacement surgeries.
