He graduated from the University of Bristol in 1985 and completed his specialist training in the South West Orthopaedic training scheme, with clinical rotations in various hospitals. Joining the East & North Hertfordshire Trust as a Consultant in 1996, his special interests include sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, and hip and knee replacement, particularly focusing on hip surgery in recent years. He has extensive experience in hip replacement for younger adults, including CT based 3D planning and custom-made implants. Mr Kerr consults privately at Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin. With a specialty in trauma & orthopaedic surgery and sub-specialties in hip and knee procedures, Mr Philip Kerr's areas of interest range from joint injections to lower limb trauma and sports injuries. He is known for his expertise in hip surgery, including revision hip replacement, and has a particular focus on hip replacement for younger adults.
