Philip Chapman-Sheath

Mr Philip Chapman-Sheath is a highly specialist knee surgeon with over 20 years of expertise, focusing on complex primary and revision knee replacement surgery. His special interests include sports knee injuries, ligament reconstruction, meniscus preservation, cartilage transplantation, and managing elite athletes with sports knee injuries. He is the most experienced surgeon in the region for children's knee injuries and is involved in research on advanced electronic sensor technology and infected knee implant treatment. Philip holds NHS posts as a Consultant Knee Surgeon at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Southampton's Faculty of Engineering and Physical Science. Having completed fellowships in Revision Knee Replacement and Sports Knee and Arthroplasty, Mr Chapman-Sheath's specialisations include trauma & orthopaedic surgery, with a focus on areas such as sports injuries, revision knee replacement surgery, and cartilage repair.
