Peter James is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery. After completing his training in Leeds and Glasgow, including a fellowship at Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast, he took up a consultant position at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 1995. He later moved to Nottingham in 2000, where he continues his consultant career at the City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre. Mr James is renowned for his work in revision and complex knee replacement, particularly focusing on high-performance knee replacements for active patients and difficult revision knee surgeries. Mr James is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospital Trust, with specializations in trauma & orthopaedic surgery, particularly in hip and knee procedures. He is a member of various prestigious medical organizations and has multiple publications and presentations on primary and revision total knee replacements. Additionally, he is actively involved in educating General Practitioners through CPD events and courses. Known for his expertise in knee replacement design, Mr James frequently lectures worldwide on knee surgery and has been invited to perform live surgeries in the UK and abroad. Aside from his medical career, Peter James has a keen interest in Rugby, Golf, and Travel. His research interests include knee replacement design, clinical outcomes, revision TKR techniques and design, as well as infected joint replacements, especially TKR.
