Graduating from Sheffield Medical School in 1990, he underwent surgical training in Leeds and the Yorkshire Region. Prior to his consultancy, Sutton worked at the Adidas Sports Medicine Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, with internationally renowned knee and sports trauma surgeons. He is a distinguished surgical trainer, teaching assessment of knee conditions and techniques to other medical professionals, and is the lead surgeon for Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation surgery at Sheffield, treating various knee conditions. Sutton is also an author of numerous scientific papers and book chapters related to orthopaedic surgery. With multiple qualifications, including MbChB from Sheffield University and FRCS from Edinburgh and England, Paul Sutton's sub-specialty lies in knees.
