Paul Pavlou is a specialist consultant knee surgeon with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating knee conditions. He treats patients of all ages and offers a variety of treatment options tailored to individual needs. Paul Pavlou is at the forefront of new technology and was the first knee surgeon on the South Coast to offer Robotic Assisted Partial and Total Knee Replacements. His specializations include partial knee replacements and sports knee replacements. He has received 2 Knee Society Awards and has presented his research nationally and internationally. Paul Pavlou is also involved in training surgeons in advanced knee surgery techniques and holds a clinical director position at University Hospitals Dorset. Paul Pavlou has a wide range of publications in leading Orthopaedic Journals and has contributed to orthopaedic textbooks. He is a member of several professional associations including the British Association for Surgery of the Knee and the British Orthopedic Association. Paul Pavlou offers courses to General Practitioners on common knee conditions and knee surgeries. He has completed an Arthroplasty Fellowship and holds a qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons. Outside of his medical practice, Paul Pavlou enjoys spending time with his family and friends and has a passion for water and land-based sports. He is also a classical and bass guitarist. His research interests include enhanced recovery after knee replacement, improving function after knee replacement surgery, preventing infection in knee replacement surgeries, thromboembolism in trauma, and the environmental impact of surgery.
