Nick Howells

Mr Nick Howells is an experienced consultant specialist orthopaedic knee surgeon based in Bristol. He has over 10 years of expertise in knee surgery, focusing on cartilage, meniscal, and ligament injury repair, as well as knee replacement procedures. With a background in medical education, Mr Howells is actively involved in teaching and training, holding the post of Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol. He is also engaged in clinical research trials aimed at improving patient outcomes in areas such as persistent pain after knee replacement and the use of stem cells in meniscal injury healing. Having completed his specialist orthopaedic training in the Bristol rotation, Mr Howells underwent advanced fellowship training in Australia, gaining diverse experience in knee surgery. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Surgical Technology for his research work on using simulators to train orthopaedic surgeons and a Medical Research Doctorate in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Bristol.
