Mr Nicholas Riley is an experienced consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with over 15 years of expertise in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He offers telemedicine video consultations to patients during the Covid-19 pandemic, focusing on conditions such as peripheral nerve entrapment, Dupuytren�s disease, arthritis, and keyhole surgery. Nick obtained his qualifications from St. Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine in 2001, followed by specialized training in London, Stanmore, and the Oxford deanery. He holds a Diploma in Hand Surgery from Manchester University and a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons. Nick holds an NHS post as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, with a dedicated focus on Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Surgery. He completed an Advanced Training Fellowship in Hand Surgery and is a Member of the University of Oxford Hand Research Group. His research interests include osteoarthritis of the hand and wrist, as well as the management of scaphoid nonunion. Nick's specialty interests cover a wide range of conditions, including hand fractures, tendon injuries, osteoarthritis, sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and various elbow conditions. Apart from his medical career, Mr Riley is an esteemed educator, being comfortable in lecturing to diverse audiences. He serves as an Oxford University Medical Education Fellow and actively contributes to the education committee of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. Nick's commitment to education is further showcased by his completion of the Developing Learning and Teaching programme for medical educators.
