Nicholas Carrington, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with 15 years of expertise in Trauma and Elective Orthopaedic Surgery, has performed over 8,000 operations. Specializing in conditions and complications affecting the hip and knee, his goal is to enhance patients' quality of life, alleviate pain, and help them return to normal activities while delaying knee or hip replacement when possible. Currently holding a NHS position at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, he also serves as the Lead for Quality and Safety. With a strong educational background, Nicholas obtained his B Med Sci and BM BS degrees in 1992 and 1994 from Nottingham, followed by FRCS qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and conducts educational sessions for patients and General Practitioners at Nuffield Health York Hospital and Ramsay Clifton Park Hospital. Specializing in hip and knee surgeries, his interests lie in hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, trauma, and more, with a focus on achieving optimal long-term function for patients. Outside of his medical practice, Nicholas Carrington enjoys gardening, walking, and golf. Holding a CCST in Trauma and Orthopaedics since 2005, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients and improving their overall quality of life.
