Nev Davies

Nev Davies is an experienced Trauma & Orthopaedics consultant with extensive expertise in adult knee surgery, trauma, and children's orthopaedics. He completed his medical training at St. Mary's Hospital in London and pursued further training on the Oxford Orthopaedic Training programme. Nev spent a year in Sydney for a Specialist Fellowship under Assistant Professor David Little. He has been a substantive consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading since November 2011, actively involved in teaching, research, and publishing work in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Nev has authored two books on orthopaedics published by Oxford University Press. With over a decade of experience, Nev Davies specialises in knee surgery, including procedures like knee replacement, osteotomy surgery, knee arthroscopy, and ACL reconstruction. He also has a keen interest in children's orthopaedics, focusing on conditions like SUFE, Perthes, children's fractures, and MSK infection in children. Furthermore, Nev is a member of several professional organisations such as BOA, BSCOS, BASK, BMA, and RCS. He holds qualifications from the University of London, Royal College of Surgeons of England, as well as St Mary's Hospital Medical School. Nev is dedicated to sharing his expertise and offers courses to General Practitioners on knee surgery and children's orthopaedics. Outside of his medical practice, Nev Davies enjoys hobbies such as golf, rugby (a keen Welsh supporter), and trail running. He is particularly interested in research areas related to PROMs in children, virtual fracture clinics, and various musculoskeletal issues in children.
