Neal Jacobs is an experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Foot & Ankle surgery and complex limb reconstruction. With extensive expertise in treating various conditions such as bunions, arthritis, sports injuries, deformity, and trauma, Mr Jacobs offers a range of surgical techniques including minimally invasive foot surgery, ligament repairs, joint fusions, and fracture fixation. Prior to his current role, he served as a consultant orthopaedic trauma surgeon at University Hospital Southampton Major Trauma Centre and as a medical officer in the Royal Air Force. Mr Jacobs is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, providing high-quality care to his patients. Having completed a Visiting Fellowship and a Masters course fellowship, Mr Jacobs possesses in-depth knowledge in complex limb reconstruction, evident in his various publications and research contributions. He holds memberships in prestigious organisations such as the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, showcasing his commitment to advancing orthopaedic care. Additionally, his qualifications include FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, MD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and MBChB from the University of Edinburgh. Mr Jacobs also offers GP education on orthopaedic foot & ankle topics, further demonstrating his dedication to sharing his expertise. Outside of his medical practice, Neal Jacobs enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and staying active through activities like running, cycling, mountaineering, climbing, and skiing. He participates in various sports events such as running races, cycle sportives, triathlons, and adventure races, highlighting his passion for a healthy lifestyle. His research interests focus on areas such as joint-preserving surgery for ankle arthritis, complex lower limb trauma, and novel resuscitation strategies after blast and haemorrhage, reflecting his commitment to advancing orthopaedic treatments and patient care.
