Mr Michael Karski is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon who specialises exclusively in foot and ankle disorders. Graduating from Manchester University in 1999, he underwent surgical training in the North West of England and furthered his expertise with a foot and ankle fellowship at Wrightington Hospital. Awarded a BOFAS travelling fellowship, Mr Karski visited a unit in Baltimore to enhance his skills. With a keen interest in sports injuries of the foot and ankle, he served as an honorary orthopaedic surgeon for Blackburn Rovers Football Club and actively contributes to teaching initiatives, including co-convening courses for orthopaedic surgeons at Wrightington Hospital. As a Consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, Mr Karski has a strong background in treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. His surgical practice spans from toe surgery to ankle replacement, with specific expertise in sports injuries, arthroscopy, ankle ligament reconstruction, and ankle replacement surgery. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the British Medical Association, showcasing his commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in patient care. Beyond his medical practice, Mr Karski dedicates himself to research interests including total ankle replacement and ankle fractures.
