Mr Mark Brinsden is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise. He began his career in the Royal Navy before transitioning to a successful NHS consultant role at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr Brinsden holds prestigious qualifications, including Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery, awarded in 2004, and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999. He specialises in treating various musculoskeletal conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow, such as shoulder stabilisation, elbow soft tissue management, and shoulder arthroscopy. Specialising in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery, Mr Brinsden has sub-specialties in Shoulder & Elbow conditions as well as Trauma. His areas of interest include shoulder instability, rotator cuff disease, shoulder replacement, elbow replacement, and shoulder arthroscopy. Furthermore, he is actively involved in various medical societies, including being a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and a Member of The British Elbow and Shoulder Society, among others. Notably, Mr Brinsden serves as an examiner for the FRCS(Tr&Orth) exam and is dedicated to training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. Alongside his professional commitments, Mr Brinsden is known for his role as a Callout Team Member for the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (Plymouth).
