Mr. Malcolm Rawes is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialization in hip and knee surgeries. He has been practicing at Pinderfields Hospital for twenty years and holds the position of Senior Lecturer at Leeds University for sixteen years. He also practices privately at Spire Methley Park Hospital and Leeds Nuffield Hospital for the same period. Mr. Rawes completed his orthopaedic training with a Hip Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital and a Knee Fellowship at Arrowe Park Hospital. He has a particular interest in elective procedures, such as hip replacement, knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy. In addition, he has expertise in trauma surgery and has completed an AO trauma fellowship in Tampa Florida. He is involved in teaching and is part of the faculty for AO Basic and Advanced Fracture Fixation courses and Advanced Trauma Life Support courses. Mr. Rawes has a number of notable memberships and qualifications. He is the President of the Ridings Orthopaedic Association and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and British Orthopaedic Association. He is a member of the British Hip Society, British Association of Surgery of the Knee, and British Medical Association. Mr. Rawes has also delivered courses to General Practitioners on topics such as hip replacement, knee replacement, knee injuries, and knee and hip examinations. With a background in biochemistry and medicine from the University of Leeds, Mr. Rawes holds qualifications of FRCS and FRCS (Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons. He also obtained an MCh (Orth) in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool. Mr. Rawes has received awards for his contributions in the field of hip and knee surgeries. In his practice, Mr. Rawes focuses on various areas of orthopaedic surgery, including hip and knee replacement, lower limb joint replacement, revision procedures, knee arthroscopy, and trauma surgery. He has a special interest in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
