Mr Lorenzo Garagnani MD FRCS EBHS DipHandSurg is a highly specialised Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon with over a decade of experience. He is the joint Lead of the Hand Unit at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where he is also a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon. Mr Garagnani is known for treating a wide range of hand, wrist, and upper limb disorders in both adults and children, with a particular focus on congenital anomalies. He completed his medical training at Bologna University in Italy and sub-specialist training in hand and wrist surgery in renowned centres in the UK. With a plethora of qualifications and accolades, Mr Garagnani is an internationally recognised expert in congenital hand anomalies and serves as the President of PHISOS (Pediatric Hand - International Society of Surgeons). He is a published author in various prestigious journals and book chapters, focusing on innovative techniques in hand and wrist surgery to reduce surgical morbidity. His research interests include minimally invasive procedures, particularly in children's hand surgery, and advancements within the field. Additionally, Mr Garagnani is actively involved in teaching and supervising medical students, trainees, and hand fellows. Mr Garagnani's areas of interest encompass congenital and paediatric hand surgery, trauma-related injuries, joint diseases, nerve disorders, tendon surgery, and wrist arthroscopy. His work revolves around minimally invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes and reduce surgical complications.
