Lee Van Rensburg

Mr Lee Van Rensburg is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in disorders of the upper limb, particularly shoulder and elbow disorders. He also has expertise in trauma cases. Mr Van Rensburg holds a full-time consultant post at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of the Cambridge Hospitals NHS Trust. He also consults and operates at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Nuffield Hospital in Cambridge. He completed his primary medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1993 and his surgical training in the UK. He completed a fellowship in trauma in Melbourne, Australia in 2006. Mr Van Rensburg's NHS posts include his role as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in shoulder and elbow surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the General Medical Council, the Medical Defence Union, the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), the British Orthopaedic Association, and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society. He has contributed to several publications in the field of orthopaedics, including topics such as compression of the sciatic nerve, teaching styles, and management of elbow trauma.
