Kuen Chin is an experienced upper limb orthopaedic consultant specializing in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He is currently based at Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. He began his training in Cambridge and completed rotations at the prestigious North East Thames Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Kuen Chin has received various fellowships, including the Arthrex Shoulder fellowship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and upper limb fellowships in Coventry and Wrightington. He has also been awarded the British Elbow & Shoulder Society traveling fellowship and has undertaken visiting fellowships in the USA and Europe. Kuen Chin remains committed to staying updated with the latest advancements in his field, attending the "Teach the Teachers Elbow course" at the Mayo Clinic annually. He has published his work in peer review journals and has served as an instructor in several instruction courses. As a consultant at Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, Kuen Chin's NHS practice is his primary focus. He also holds memberships with various medical organizations such as the British Elbow & Shoulder Society (BESS) and the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM). In addition, Kuen Chin is involved in teaching, serving as a faculty member on the BHRUT basic surgical skills for GP course. He has received qualifications including FRCS (T&O) from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2015 and an MSc (T&O) from Warwick University in 2009. Kuen Chin's specialties include hand & wrist and shoulder & elbow surgeries, and he has a particular interest in elbow, shoulder, hand, and wrist conditions. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Kuen Chin has personal interests in painting and martial arts. His research interests revolve around elbow arthritis and sports injuries, as well as shoulder rotator cuff and ACJ instabilities and wrist instability.
