Mr Kar Teoh is a highly experienced triple board certified Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in Foot & Ankle surgery and Trauma. He completed his Medical School and Academic Foundation Programme in Edinburgh, followed by his Higher Surgical Training in the Wales Deanery. Mr Kar Teoh further enhanced his expertise through prestigious fellowships in Switzerland, Germany, and the United States of America. He has trained under esteemed mentors from various foot and ankle societies, including the British, Swiss, European, and American Foot and Ankle Societies. With a holistic and individualized approach, Mr Kar Teoh offers a range of treatments for ankle arthritis, from joint preserving osteotomy to the latest ankle replacement technology and ankle arthrodesis. He has also received numerous international fellowships and awards, including the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Gold fellowship award in 2017. In addition to his surgical skills, Mr Kar Teoh is passionate about research and education. He has won multiple research awards, published extensively, and has a H index of 12. He is a faculty member on local and international courses and is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Mr Kar Teoh holds positions as the Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education at Queen Mary University of London and Clinical Sub-Dean at Anglia Ruskin Medical School. He also runs training courses for surgeons interested in learning about the Vantage Total Ankle Replacement. Dedicated to improving the quality of trauma and orthopaedic services, he has a Chartered Management Institute Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management. He currently serves as the clinical lead for major trauma services at his trust and is the Regional Specialty Professional Advisor in Trauma and Orthopaedics for the East of England region. Mr Kar Teoh practices at Ramsay Rivers Hospital and is focused on providing excellent care to his patients.
