Mr Kapil Kumar is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialization in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He graduated from the University of Delhi and completed his basic surgical and orthopaedic training in India before moving to the UK. He underwent further training in Orthopedics in Aberdeen and completed advanced Fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the renowned Reading Shoulder Unit and the Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington Hospital. With over 20 years of expertise, Mr Kumar has been a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics since 2007, focusing on general Orthopaedics with a special interest in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He is actively involved in research and has published papers in international journals on various topics related to shoulder and elbow conditions. Mr Kumar holds NHS positions as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Woodend Hospital. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Elbow and Shoulder Surgery, and the International Society for Knowledge for surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty. He is also on the Executive Board of the latter. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Kumar conducts courses for General Practitioners on topics such as evaluation and management of painful shoulder, injection techniques for shoulder and elbow, and common elbow disorders. He has a wide range of interests within his field, including rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, shoulder dislocation, shoulder arthritis, tennis elbow, and knee arthroscopy. Mr Kapil Kumar's qualifications include an MS in Orthopaedics from the University of Delhi, an MCh in Orthopaedics from the University of Aberdeen, and an FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow. He has received awards for his contributions to the field and has published in reputable journals such as the Journal of Trauma, Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and Journal of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery. With his high level of expertise and dedication to research, Mr Kumar continues to provide excellent care to his patients in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
