Mr. Joby John is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with years of expertise in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He received his initial training in India and further trained in the UK, with specializations in knee ligament surgery and adult reconstruction. He has also completed fellowships in France and Canada, gaining experience in replacement surgery, osteotomy surgery, and revision knee replacements. Mr. John has a keen interest in research and has a PhD in unicompartmental knee replacements. Currently, he is involved in research projects at the hospital and the University of Nottingham, where he holds a role as an Honorary Associate Professor in orthopaedics. He has won awards for his research and regularly lectures as an invited faculty. In addition to traditional treatments, Mr. John offers innovative therapies like stem cell and PRP for knee problems. His NHS post is at the Sherwood Forest NHS Trust, and he practices at The Park Hospital. Mr. Joby John has a strong academic background with various qualifications, including an MS in Orthopaedics, an MBBS, an FRCS, and a PhD. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK). His sub-specialties include hip and knee surgeries, and his areas of interest are extensive, ranging from knee replacements and ligament repair to hip arthritis and sports injuries. Mr. John is also involved in research on unicompartmental knee replacements, outcome research in arthroplasty, and neck of femur surgery. He is a registered specialist with the GMC since 2012. In addition to his medical career, Mr. Joby John has a keen interest in teaching and is currently an Honorary Associate Professor in orthopaedics at the University of Nottingham. Outside of work, he enjoys giving back to the medical community by actively participating in multicentre RCTs and sharing his expertise through lectures.
