Jeffrey Reid is a Canadian orthopaedic surgeon with 17 years of experience. He specializes in disorders of the shoulder and elbow, as well as traumatic injuries of the upper limb. He currently holds a position as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in the NHS. He also has a private practice that reflects his NHS practice. Dr. Reid completed his training in Canada and then came to Scotland in 2003 for additional fellowship training. He settled in Scotland permanently with his wife and three children. He holds qualifications including the FRSC(C) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2003, and the Equivalence of Training to UK Training from the GMC in 2006. His areas of interest include shoulder surgery, elbow surgery, upper limb surgery, trauma, and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery. Dr. Reid has a GMC Specialist Registration as an Orthopaedic Specialist, obtained in 2006. He has also been involved in research focusing on elbow instability and upper limb trauma reconstruction.
