James Smith is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in lower limb surgery. With over 10 years of experience as a consultant, he performs a high volume of joint replacements per year, including complex procedures. He obtained his medical degree from St Georges� Hospital Medical School, University of London in 2000. Mr Smith completed his specialist Orthopaedic training on the South East Thames rotation, and also obtained the MRCS and Final FRCS Tr and Orth qualifications. He completed fellowships in Calgary, Canada and Guy's hospital, focusing on hip and knee surgery. Mr Smith was appointed Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford in 2012, where he developed a lower limb reconstruction service with a focus on enhanced recovery and minimal complications.
