Ibrahim Malek

Mr Ibrahim Malek is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery, computer navigated knee and hip replacements, enhanced recovery after surgery, revision hip and knee surgery, and patient-reported outcomes. He completed his medical qualification from South Gujarat University, India in 2002 and basic surgical training from Mersey Deanery in 2005. He is a product of the renowned Welsh Orthopaedic Training Programme and has a special interest in hip and knee replacement procedures. Mr Malek further honed his skills through a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction recognized by the Australian Orthopaedic Association in Adelaide. He joined BCUHB Wrexham Maelor Hospital in January 2018 and is known for his patient-centered orthopaedic care approach. Mr Ibrahim Malek is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society, and Medical Defence Shield. He has contributed to various publications, including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Bone and Joint Journal, Clinical Anatomy, and International Orthopaedics. He holds qualifications such as FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015, MBBS from South Gujarat University, India in 2002, and MRCSEd from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2005. His areas of interest include hip replacement, knee replacement, revision hip replacement, revision knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy. Mr Malek is registered with the General Medical Council as a specialist in orthopaedic surgery since 2016 and has a research interest in arthroplasty. Besides his professional achievements, Mr Ibrahim Malek is passionate about providing excellent surgical care to his patients.
