Ian Sinha is the Head of Specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedics at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, with over seven years of expertise in limb reconstruction and complex tibial and femoral fractures. He utilises the robotic Navio system for knee replacements and employs innovative methods like circular frames and the Precice nail for bone defects and deformities. Ian specialises in knee osteoarthritis, offering joint preserving osteotomy, knee joint distraction, and cartilage regeneration. He also introduced rib fracture surgery to the North West London Major Trauma Centre. With various qualifications, including FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics, Ian Sinha has completed specialist fellowships in sports surgery, joint arthroplasty, and major trauma. His sub-specialities lie in knee and trauma surgery, focusing on robotic knee replacements, knee dislocation, and lower limb deformity corrections. Ian's areas of interest extend to open tibial fractures, complex femur and tibia fractures, bone infections, and non-union fractures. He works closely with colleagues to offer innovative treatments like intra-arterial embolisation for knee osteoarthritis. Outside of his medical practice, Ian enjoys activities like Peloton, surfing, skateboarding, skiing, swimming, and dancing tango. His research interests include rib fractures and flail chest injuries, reflecting his dedication to advancing trauma and orthopaedic care. Ian continues to pioneer and innovate in the field, striving to provide top-notch care to his patients both at the NHS and in the private sector.
