Mr Ian Barlow is a specialist knee surgeon with extensive expertise in arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and knee replacement procedures, including revision surgeries. He has been practicing in the field for over 30 years and holds several memberships, including the British Association for Surgery of the Knee and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy. Mr Barlow is based at Dorset County Hospital and Winterbourne Hospital in Dorset. Mr Barlow completed his medical qualification (MB ChB) in Bristol in 1985 and obtained his FRCS in 1989 from the RCS England. He further went on to achieve FRCS (Orth.) in 1996 from the RCS England. He specializes in trauma and orthopaedic surgery and has a particular interest in knee-related conditions and disorders. He is experienced in a wide range of treatments, such as joint hypermobility, osteoarthritis, joint disorders, knee pain, sports injuries, and inflammatory joint disorders. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Barlow is also actively involved in teaching and research. He has a special interest in areas such as chondrocyte implantation, joint resurfacing, computer-assisted surgery, and cartilage repair. He is registered with the GMC as a specialist in Orthopaedics/Trauma since 1996. With his vast experience and expertise, Mr Ian Barlow is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients.
