Iain Bissell is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 14 years of experience. He has been based in Hereford since 2007 and has received training in London, Sheffield, Oxford, Southampton, and Bristol. He currently holds the position of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Foot & Ankle at Wye Valley NHS Trust Hereford County Hospital. In addition, he practices at Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital. Dr. Bissell specializes in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with a particular focus on the foot and ankle. Dr. Bissell's qualifications include a BSc (Hons) from the University of London in 1991, an MB BS from St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1994, and FRCS (Eng) and FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998 and 2005, respectively. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS). Dr. Bissell has a special interest in limb reconstruction and has completed a fellowship in this field. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bissell is actively involved in teaching and has conducted courses for General Practitioners on foot and ankle conditions. He has received awards for his contributions in this area. Outside of his profession, Dr. Bissell enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, three children, and two dogs. He also engages in leisure activities such as cycling and golfing.
