Mr Hugh Chissell is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in knee surgery, including arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, osteotomy, patello femoral problems, joint replacement, and revision joint replacement. He obtained his medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, and completed his Orthopaedic training in London. He also underwent Fellowship training at prestigious institutions such as the University of Louisville, Kentucky, Duke University, North Carolina, and Sportsmed SA, Adelaide, Australia. He has been a consultant at Frimley Park Hospital since September 1997 and is a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association. Mr Chissell is also a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee. In addition to his NHS role at Frimley Park Hospital, Mr Chissell operates and consults at Clare Park Hospital and the Parkside Suite at Frimley Park Hospital. He has a special interest in knee and hip replacement surgery, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and arthroscopy. His qualifications include FRCS Orth from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, FRCS Ed from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, FRCS Eng from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, MBBS from the University of London, and BSc from the University of London. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr Chissell enjoys sailing and is a member of the Seaview Yacht Club on the Isle of Wight. He also has a passion for skiing in the French Alps and has an interest in old sports cars, particularly air cooled Porsches and Triumph TRs.
