Gunther Selzer

Mr Gunther Selzer is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with nearly 30 years of experience in the field. He completed his basic surgical training and FRCS exams in the UK before pursuing higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the West Midlands. He has worked at hospitals such as Coventry, Selly Oak, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. Mr Selzer further specialized in hip, knee, and revision surgery through an advanced fellowship at Guy's and St. Thomas' hospital in London. He holds a Master's degree in orthopaedic engineering and is an honorary lecturer at Wolverhampton University. His areas of expertise include hip and knee replacement surgery, including hip resurfacing, as well as knee arthroscopic surgery and robotic hip and knee replacements. Currently, Mr Selzer holds a position as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Walsall Manor Hospital in the Walsall Healthcare Trust. He is a member of the British Medical Association, British Orthopaedic Association, and the Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Selzer provides GP education and seminars. He has received awards for his contributions in the field and has presented at regional, national, and international conferences.
