Mr Greg Pickering is a Consultant Hand & Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in the field. He currently holds a substantive NHS Consultant post at The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, including at the National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases. After graduating from the University of Bristol with degrees in Pharmacology and Medicine, Mr Pickering completed his foundation training before gaining further experience in New Zealand, Australia, and across the South Pacific. He then returned to the UK for his higher specialist training in Trauma & Orthopaedics on the Severn Rotation. Mr Pickering completed his sub-specialist training in Hand Surgery at renowned hospitals in Birmingham, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He has also received formal qualifications in medical education and continues to contribute to surgical training courses and act as a supervisor and trainer for future orthopaedic and hand surgeons. Mr Pickering's specialisations include Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery, with sub-specialties in Hand & Wrist surgery. He is well-versed in various hand and wrist conditions such as Carpal Tunnel, Cubital Tunnel, Dupuytren's, Trigger finger, and Arthritis.
