Mr Garth Allardice is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He obtained his qualification in South Africa in 1996 and completed a postgraduate fellowship at the renowned Charnley Hip Centre in the UK. He has held various positions throughout his career, including being the Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Lead at Kettering General Hospital from 1998 to 2002. In 2002, he moved to London and was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Trauma Lead at North West London NHS Trust. For 8 years, he served as the Trauma Lead, managing Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals. He has developed a dedicated Foot and Ankle Unit at these hospitals, where he sees GP and tertiary referrals, and is responsible for complex Foot and Ankle Trauma. He is also involved in teaching and training orthopaedic registrars and medical students and has lectured and facilitated College revision courses and conferences. Mr Allardice's special interests lie in Foot and Ankle Trauma, Sports Injuries, forefoot deformity correction, and tendon pathologies. He has previously served as the clinical lead for shockwave therapy at Clementine Churchill Hospital, treating chronic/degenerative tendonopathies, particularly of the Achilles and Plantar Fascia. He is a member of several prestigious medical societies, including the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the European Foot and Ankle Society, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the British Orthopaedic Society, and the South African Orthopaedic Association. He is also involved in clinical audit and clinical outcomes research. Outside of his professional life, Mr Allardice enjoys spending time with his family and has an interest in sports and whisky.
