He holds his NHS position at the prestigious Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham and is a Clinical Service Lead for arthroplasty. Additionally, he is an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham Medical School, where he leads in undergraduate medical education. Professor Davis specializes in the management of hip and knee problems, offering surgical replacements and revision of joint replacements, with a focus on robotic assisted surgery and computer navigation techniques. Having graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School, Professor Davis undertook his surgical training in the West Midlands before completing a fellowship in revision hip and knee arthroplasty in Toronto, Canada. He is a recognised expert in robotic assisted surgery and computer navigation, constantly striving to improve patient outcomes through precision techniques. His research background includes over 50 national and international presentations, focusing on hip and knee replacement, revision surgery, and computer navigation. Professor Davis has also contributed significantly to research projects and publications in top peer-reviewed journals. In his personal life, Professor Edward Davis enjoys spending time with his family, wife, and three children. Outside of work, he is an avid runner and relishes walking in the countryside with his family dogs. His dedication to medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students is evident in his roles as Head of Academy at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and as a clinical lead for orthopaedics at Aston University Medical School.
