Dushyant Thakkar

Mr Dushyant Thakkar is an Indian and British trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 45 years of experience in the field. He has been practicing in the UK since 1975 and is retired from his NHS hospital practice. He is based in Northwood, Middlesex and lives with his retired GP wife and doctor son. Mr Thakkar has a range of outside interests including gym, swimming, and music. He is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati and is willing to do emergency home visits if required. Mr Thakkar's specialty is trauma and orthopaedic surgery, and he has a particular interest in spine management, foot and ankle surgeries, knee surgeries including replacement and arthroscopy, and hip replacement surgery. He has published several research papers in prestigious journals, including the British Journal of Injury and the European Journal of Orthopaedic and Traumatology. He holds a Master of Surgery degree in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool and the University of Mumbai, as well as a FRCS Orth qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons. Apart from his medical career, Mr Thakkar is passionate about spinal pain management, hip replacement surgery, knee surgeries, and general orthopaedic conditions. He has expertise in treating conditions such as shoulder pain and stiffness, elbow and hand pain, fractures, tendon injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He also specializes in the removal of lumps and bumps. Mr Thakkar is registered as a specialist in orthopaedic and trauma surgery with the General Medical Council.
